Alfisti Spring Tour 2024

Grampians Gallivant

The 2024 Grampians Gallivant (aka Alfisti Spring Tour) is in the early stages of planning, so few details are available just yet.
The Tour will possibly commence in Ballarat and head for the Shipwreck Coast, following the Great Ocean Road through Western Victoria and on through the Coorong to the Fleurieu Peninsula. The Tour will return via Adelaide and Tailem Bend to finish with a weekend in the Grampians.

Monday 1st April to Friday 5th April

The Alfisti Autumn Tour (aka the Post Alfesta Tour) was jointly organised by the Alpine Alfisti Association of Australia and AROCA Victoria.
50 Alfisti from ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC & WA participated in the Tour.
The route followed the Great Dividing Range, from Lakes Entrance in Gippsland, Victoria to Canberra - the Nation's Capital. The Tour travelled through the Victorian Alps and the Snowy Mountains to Canberra - in time to wash the Alfa and attend Auto Italia.

• Monday 1st: Lakes Entrance to Bright, via Omeo & Mt Hotham
• Tuesday 2nd: Bright to Albury, via Beechworth & Corowa
• Wednesday 3rd: Albury to Tumut, via Tintaldra & Tumbarumba
• Thursday 4th: Tumut to Jindabyne, via Adaminaby
• Friday 5th: Jindabyne to Canberra, via Charlotte Pass, Dalgety & Cooma

The 2023 Grampians Gallivant (aka Alfisti Spring Tour) was a four-day weekend based in Halls Gap, with Touring to the north and south of the Grampians Ranges

Tour Itinerary:

• Thursday 26th October: Pre-Tour Dinner in Ballarat
• Friday 27th October: Ballarat to Halls Gap, via Ararat
• Saturday 28th October: Tour through the Northern Grampians
• Sunday 29th October: Tour through the Southern Grampians
• Monday 30th October: Return to Ballarat via Great Western & Beaufort

via the High Country & Snowy Mountains

Day 1 (Monday 27) : Lilydale to Wangaratta
Lilydale via Black Spur to Alexandra (morning tea)
Bonnie Doon & Tolmie to Whitfield (lunch)
Follow the King Valley, through Myrrhee and to the Winton Wetlands (afternoon tea)
Continue through the Warby Ranges to Wangaratta (dinner & overnight)

Day 2 (Tuesday 28) : Wangaratta to Omeo
From Wangaratta, via Eldorado, Beechworth and Myrtleford to Bright (lunch)
then via Mt Hotham to Omeo (dinner & overnight)

Day 3 (Wednesday 29) : Omeo to Albury
From Omeo, follow the Omeo Hwy to Mitta Mitta (lunch)
Continue via Tallangatta, Lake Hume to Albury (dinner & overnight)

Day 4 (Thursday 30) : Albury to Tumut
From Albury, follow Murray River Rd, via Jingellic to Tumbarumba (lunch)
Then via Batlow, with an optional visit to the Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins, then to Tumut (dinner & overnight)

Day 5 (Friday 31) : Tumut to Canberra
From Tumut, follow the Snowy Mountains Highway via Adaminaby and Kiandra to Cooma (lunch)
Following lunch is a visit to the newly opened Cooma Car Club Museum.
Then we'll follow the Monaro Highway to Canberra (dinner? & overnight)

Day 6 (Saturday 1st) : Giro de quattro picchi
Optional sight seeing tour of Canberra's scenic peaks, followed by lunch at the National Arboretum. Or take a day off to do whatever ...

Grampians Gallivant

Friday 14th to Sunday 16th
Three days based in Halls Gap with daily tours through and around the Gariwerd (Grampians Ranges) region. The stage included visits to Campe's Motor Museum in Hamilton, the Stick Shed in Murtoa and several Silo Art locations.

The Bend & The Hills

Monday 17th to Thursday 20th
Tour from Halls Gap to Glenelg (Adelaide) with a visit to The Bend Motorsports Park and then through the Adelaide Hills, including a visit to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood and a day exploring Adelaide.

The Coastal Cruise

Friday 21st to Wednesday 26th
A tour around the Fleurieu Peninsula (visiting Cape Jervis & Victor Harbor) then via the Coorong and along the Great Ocean Road, returning to Ballarat.
