Alfisti Autumn Tour 2025

The 2025 Alfisti Autumn Tour is tentatively scheduled for early March (TBC).
The Tour will be based in Bright, with the proposed itinerary as follows:

• Day 0 (Monday 3rd - optional): Canberra to Jindabyne (or Crackenback?)
• Day 1 (Tuesday 4th): Meet in Bright for Pre-Tour Dinner
• Day 2 (Wednesday 5th): Bright to Bright - via Falls Creek, Omeo & Mt Hotham
• Day 3 (Thursday 6th): explore Yackandandah, Milawa, Ovens Valley
  - or possibly a short run to Mitta Mitta - and return to Bright
• Day 4 (Friday 7th): Bright to Yarra Valley, via King Valley & Mansfield
   
  Extend your Tour with visits to these events:
  Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th: Phillip Island Classic - Festival of Motorsport
  and
  Friday 14th to Sunday 16th: Australian F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne

Alfisti Spring Tour 2025

'Il Giro Giganticus'

The Alfisti Spring Tour 25 is planned to run from Victoria's Surf Coast following the Great Ocean Road through SA's South East and the Coorong to Adelaide. The Tour will then travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island for several days of touring the Island.
The Tour returns via the Fleurieu Peninsula to Western Victoria's Grampians Ranges.
The final stage of the Tour will join AROCA Victoria's 'Grampians Gallivant 2025'.

The proposed itinerary is as follows:

• Day 0 (Monday 13th): Gather in Torquay (or Anglesea?)
• Day 1 (Tuesday 14th): Follow the Coast to Warrnambool, via Apollo Bay
• Day 2 (Wednesday 15th): Warrnambool to Mt Gambier
• Day 3 (Thursday 16th): Explore the SE (Tantanoola Caves / Narracoorte)
• Day 4 (Friday 17th): Mt Gambier to Adelaide
• Day 5 (Saturday 18th): Free day in Adelaide
• Day 6 (Sunday 19th): Adelaide Hills & Birdwood
• Day 7 (Monday 20th): Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
• Day 8 (Tuesday 21st): Touring Kangaroo Island
• Day 9 (Wednesday 22nd): Touring Kangaroo Island
• Day 10 (Thursday 23rd): Kangaroo Island to Tailem Bend
• Day 11 (Friday 24th): Tailem Bend to Halls Gap
  ... thus endeth the Alfisti Spring Tour 25.

And then the Grampians Gallivant commences ... !
• Day 0 (Friday 24th): Gather in Halls Gap for GG25
• Day 1 (Saturday 25th): Grampians Northern Gallivant
• Day 2 (Sunday 26th): Grampians Southern Gallivant
• Day 3 (Monday 27th): Return home ...

'Forays in The Hunter'

After a break of about five years, it was time to return to The Hunter ...
The Tour commenced in central Victoria and travelled via the Riverina, Hilltops and Central West to the Hunter Valley then returned via the Blue Mountains to Canberra.

Alfisti Autumn Tour 2024

Monday 1st to Friday 5th April

aka the '2024 Post Alfesta Tour'

The Alfisti Autumn Tour 2024 was jointly hosted by
the Alpine Alfisti Association of Australia and AROCA Victoria.
50 Alfisti from ACT, QLD, VIC & WA participated in the Tour. It ran from Lakes Entrance in Gippsland, touring over the Victorian Alps then through the Snowy Mountains, to Canberra.

Alfisti Autumn Tour 2024 Itinerary:

• Monday 1st: Lakes Entrance to Bright, via Omeo & Mt Hotham
• Tuesday 2nd: Bright to Albury, via Beechworth & Corowa
• Wednesday 3rd: Albury to Tumut, via Tintaldra & Tumbarumba
• Thursday 4th: Tumut to Jindabyne, via Adaminaby
• Friday 5th: Jindabyne to Canberra, via Charlotte Pass, Dalgety & Cooma

The 2023 Grampians Gallivant (aka Alfisti Spring Tour) was a four-day weekend based in Halls Gap, with Touring to the north and south of the Grampians Ranges

• Friday 27th October: Ballarat to Halls Gap, via Ararat

Grampians Gallivant

Friday 14th to Sunday 16th
Three days based in Halls Gap with daily tours through and around the Gariwerd (Grampians Ranges) region. The stage included visits to Campe's Motor Museum in Hamilton, the Stick Shed in Murtoa and several Silo Art locations.

The Bend & The Hills

Monday 17th to Thursday 20th
Tour from Halls Gap to Glenelg (Adelaide) with a visit to The Bend Motorsports Park and then through the Adelaide Hills, including a visit to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood and a day exploring Adelaide.

The Coastal Cruise

Friday 21st to Wednesday 26th
A tour around the Fleurieu Peninsula (visiting Cape Jervis & Victor Harbor) then via the Coorong and along the Great Ocean Road, returning to Ballarat.
