The Alpine Alfisti Association in collaboration with the Goldfields Chapter of AROCA Victoria present the joint: 2021 Alfisti Spring Tour


 

The 2021 Alfisti Spring Tour will likely comprise three distinct parts (sub-tours), each part is optional. The proposed itinerary is as follows:


 

Pt I - Grampians Gallivant - 15th to 17th

The Tour commences in Ballarat and is based in Halls Gap in the Grampians National Park (Gariwerd), with excursions through The Grampians and Western Victoria.

  • Friday 15th: Ballarat to Halls Gap

  • Saturday 16th: Northern Grampians with lunch at a winery

  • Sunday 17th: Southern Grampians with lunch in Cavendish

    Pt II - Grampians to Adelaide - 18th to 21st

    Halls Gap to Adelaide via Tailem Bend

  • Monday 18th: Halls Gap to Tailem Bend

  • Tuesday 19th: A visit to ‘The Bend Raceway’ at Tailem Bend
          then on to Glenelg via Mt. Lofty for lunch

  • Wednesday 20th: Free day – Explore Glenelg, Adelaide or ... ?

  • Thursday 21st: Glenelg to Birdwood Museum via Adelaide Hills

    Pt III - Adelaide to Ballarat - 22nd to 26th

    From Adealide, the Tour visits the Fleurieu Peninsula, the Coorong, Mt Gambier, Warrnambool and then follows the Great Ocean Road through the Otways to Ballarat

  • Friday 22nd: Glenelg to Victor Harbor
          via McLaren Vale & Cape Jervis
          (Stage 1 of the AROCA SA's annual "Targa Fleurieu")

  • Saturday 23rd: Victor Harbor to Kingston
          via Strathalbyn, Wellington, Meningie & The Coorong
     
          NOTE: to exit the Tour after the visit to Fleurieu Peninsula:
          either return to Adelaide from Strathalbyn,
          or continue to Wellington and return to Melbourne via Tailem Bend

  • Sunday 24th: Kingston to Mt. Gambier
          via the Coonawarra for lunch

  • Monday 25th: Mt. Gambier to Warrnambool
          via Portland & Port Fairy

  • Tuesday 26th: Warrnambool to Ballarat
          via Port Campbell, Apollo Bay, Skenes Creek, Forest & Colac.
